Going to the University of Victoria is more than just books and studying, especially for those of you that choose to live on campus! We aim to provide students with a place to call home in which they can meet life-long friends, discover new things, and be supported in their learning both inside and outside the classroom.
The Residence Life and Education team is comprised of nearly one hundred student and professional staff members who are dedicated to supporting you while you make the transition from living at home or on your own to a community of 2,300 people. We strive to ensure that students live in a respectful, inclusive, safe, and dynamic environment. The RLE team organizes special programs and events including social activities, adventure tours, wellness programs, and workshops in addition to upholding the Community Standards and supporting students' overall well-being.
A unique opportunity available in residence at the University of Victoria are the Living Learning Communities. In these communities, like-minded residents engage in community activities focused on a common theme. We also offer Interest-Based Communities -including Substance-Free and Quiet Floor communities.
