Application Information

• A $50.00 non-refundable application fee is required for each application.
• Applications are processed in the order in which they are received.
• The student's position on the waiting list will be retained from one year to the next provided that the prospective tenant contacts the Residence Services Office and requests to remain on the wait list in August each year.
• Pets are not permitted in any Family Housing unit unless specifically permitted in writing by the University. The Student may keep a guide animal (as defined in the Guide Animal Act of British Colombia) at the Premises if the Student supplies to the University documentation acceptable to the University which shows that the guide animal is certified as a guide animal and the Student or an Occupant of the Premises due to a documented disability.
• Subletting of a room or unit in Family Housing is not permitted.

Due to high demand, it is recommended that you apply prior to your desired occupancy date to increase your chances of receiving an assignment.

Eligibility

• Registered as an under-graduate full time UVic Student (9 credits in 12 months) or
  Registered as a graduate student with full time status confirmed by the Faculty of Graduate Studies.
• In a common-law / married relationship or
  Has custody of a child

Applicants who wish to live in Family Housing but are not currently eligible are welcome to apply. These applications will be held, in the order in which they were received, until the applicant is eligible to receive a Family Housing unit.
